Color Blindness Issues
An awesome fan emailed me saying she has a little trouble solving one of the puzzles of Anastrønaut II. At first I thought she wanted a solution or a hint which I always provide with no trouble at all. But that wasn't her request. She was stuck at a puzzle requiring the ability to differentiate between close hues of colors. To be honest, it is tricky even for a non color vision deficient player. I edited the puzzle for her using a high-contrast pattern without changing the level of hardness. She was kind enough to hook me up with some of her online friends with similar vision issues and they all blessed me by agreeing to test the alternative puzzle.

Anastronaut II: The Dark Side ©
The story continues, after sending Lance into oblivion, it seems he managed to survive and planned his
evil revenge by sending his alliances to capture our hero. Anas is imprisoned in cargo ship Athaal-T14E where he is being tortured and barely kept alive until
the abandoned ship reaches its destination: Alpha
Equulei.
Being captured in a small dark cell inside a huge ship for
months has been affecting Anas'
mental state. Not to mention the effects of all kinds of physical and psychic
torture. He needs to find a way to escape before entering the danger zone of
the star. He has limited time to solve puzzles, find a way out, fight his
damaged mental state and flashbacks.
His escape is only the beginning; an adventure is waiting
for him outside the cargo ship...

Anastronaut II Teaser #3 Planet Mercury Surface
Game audio replaced with background music and display messages are omitted for spoilers. Video contains nothing related to solving puzzles.
You have to leave as soon as possible. Planet Mercury is so close to its star which is about to rise and bake everything. The enormous heat of the sun is not the only lethal thing on this little rocky planet. Riikka is going to take care of your spying tasks through radio. But the rest is all up to you.

Cameo Appearance
Please feel free to contact me if you want to have a cameo appearance of your game with anastrønaut. I have some ideas and if you have more I'm very open to listening! The following in-game screenshots show a navigation system that leads to anywhere in the universe! Also the main character passes out many times where he can have dreams and flashbacks! And in the third screenshot you can see that the bar is almost ready for as many characters and portraits as possible!

Planet Neptune: From a gas giant, into an eternal arctic coldness
I visited this dark blue planet at a random star date during my time travels. Its core was at the right temperature -enough to allow the gases to liquefy and most importantly allow the planet's guts to rise and terraform.
Having no detectors or scanners disabled me from identifying the chemical compounds and the ingredients of the vast deserts and endless deep oceans. Nevertheless, I am quite sure it is very close to water. Huge sea creatures dwell in the darkness of the oceans along with boulders of crystallized ammonia.
The mountains were huge, very high and -shaky. At first I thought I was dizzy but as soon as I realized the nature of the planet and its transformation period I figured it out. The mountains are made of condensed gas. The planet itself was a magnet for many objects orbiting the region.

Space Battle at The Vulcanoid Zone
This is a space battle mini game within The Dark Side. Using a stolen star fighter, you are supposed to blast enemy ships hunting you before you make your great escape.
Controls are based on mouse movement, hovering the mouse on either side of the screen to move sideways, then after getting the enemy in the center of the HUD you must immediately move the cursor on him turning into red and locking the target automatically. left-click to fire. Whether it's you or the enemy, a hit reduces the stamina by a random factor until it reaches zero and die.
The interface for the weapons system includes a radar showing your ship (green) and the enemy ship (red), your stamina, and the remaining number of enemy ships near you.

Å: winter world
If you think this is a scenery from a planet you are very familiar with, then you are wrong. This is planet Å. The plantation and arctic mammals are just placed here by the same -people- whom terraformed your own planet.

Crafting and Puzzles
There's a fine line between collecting items and hoarding. When you find valuable or useful objects that may come in handy in the future you wouldn't want to miss them. But what about those items that seem of less importance? Well, after collecting them, you can simply interact them with one another and craft your own useful item. Anastrønaut gives the players the freedom to use their imagination and creativity to solve puzzles by combining up to 6 items creating a useful object in a very friendly close-up view of what you're about to create.
The screenshot above is a room from a planet that is generated anytime you decide to test your crafting skills and see what you can come up with the items you collected. Similar rooms from different locations, ships and planets are available as well. Of course the possibilities of different creations, success and failure are too many.

Backgrounds enhancement
Feeling responsible towards my fans, I keep on improving everything from story line to backgrounds. Those are two before-after shots to demonstrate the graphical improvement I work on. the first image is outside cargo ship Athaal T14E, I added texture effects showing scratches from asteroids and space debris along with corrosion from radiation. the second image is a computer that I have completely changed its layout.

I am entrapped by a bunch of atoms attached firmly creating this entity of massive abilities. Some call it a body, others call it soul trap. "But... What is the soul?" I have been thinking, because I was granted time. Time away from being busy saving my life, and others. Nothing around to distract me. All my surroundings are these tissues of his giant internal organs with liquids and gooey substances. Despite my body is submerged to the neck; my mind is floating like it had never been before. It is dark, not pitch black but still dark. I can see a little red faint-luminance through the tissues revealing some veins and perhaps little glands. I shall remain your prisoner until either you show me mercy and spit me out, or get irritated and stir me with your acidic mixture and dissolve me into your being.

Pushing Death Scenes
Anastronaut II: The Dark Side will have death scenes that contain blood. In the first part I did not even show the main character lifeless. I decided to push the limit of violence here and show a little more.
As you see in the comparison between these two GIFs, the first one is a death scene from the first part where Anas drowns in a lake -only showing his floating helmet. The second one happens when he cracks his head after a slip in a rocky river from the new game and obviously there is blood.

Anas Abdin - Blue Station
I'm taking off alone
To my own blue station
Take my same ol'feeling
Take my same ol'self
I walk on a railway
Without a train of speed
Till the end of the line
Where you wait for me
I see a bridge ahead
Well I'm not afraid to cross it
Though tired of everything I passed
Tired of everyone I met

I tweet from outer space!
Some of my very few -but awesome- followers on Twitter sent me PMs complementing me on the idea. I do admit I'm a little lazy when it comes to Twitter but I am willing to fix that attitude of mine.
So what was the idea anyway? Nothing special, just being consistent when composing my tweets making them convenient to be from outer space (my ship, deep space, a planet... etc) So simply when the weather is so hot I'm visiting Mercury and so on... of course I have to mention AGS, pixel art, animations and stuff... with a spacey twist.
